Frequently Asked Questions:What is the FX in Cosmetic Dental FX?The effects (FX) that result from the cosmetic dentistry you receive will be incomparable, hence the name Cosmetic Dental FX (effects). Can I come in for just a cleaning?Absolutely, if you have been seen by a dentist in the last year and have a full set of updated x-rays. They need to include progress notes from your prior dentist stating that you are on maintenance, meaning no other work is needed, and you are not interested in any cosmetic treatment. What is a veneer?A veneer is a porcelain cover that adheres to the front of a tooth to change the shape, size, and/or color of the tooth. What is a Lumineer?A Lumineer is a brand of veneer that we offer. It is much thinner than the porcelain veneer and is used for patients that do not need to close a lot of spaces in between their teeth. These Lumineers need little to no tooth reduction. What is a crown?A crown is used to cover the tooth above the root area. A crown is typically recommended when there is not enough tooth structure remaining to place a filling, when a tooth is fractured, or when a tooth has had root canal therapy. Do you accept my insurance? We will happily submit any PPO insurance that you have. However, we are not members of any HMO or Medicare/Medicaid programs. How are amalgam fillings safely removed? |
